The J.M.A. Show's Tribute to The Goonies

On March 18th, 2006, a New Jersey-based radio station, 88.9 WMCX-FM, presented a special tribute to The Goonies on its Saturday morning radio program, The J.M.A. Show. Hosted by independent film writer/director Jason M. Allentoff, the broadcast featured sound clips and trivia from the movie, interwoven with the full soundtrack, Dave Grusin's memorable score, and call-ins from Goonies around the world, from London, England to Saint Petersburg, FL, with their own memories of The Goonies.

A streaming audio version of the program, as well as a transcript, will be posted in the near future.  Check back soon!

Second Goonies Tribute Planned

The success of the first Goonies tribute has helped to garner support a second tribute.  The tribute will air in June 2006.  Check back for specific dates and times.

About The J.M.A. Show

The JMA Show was the brainchild of Monmouth University Communications student Jason Allentoff. The idea was simple; a radio show that would tailor to the most overlooked genre of music: The Film Soundtrack. Throw in television themes, show tunes from Broadway and off-Broadway shows, retro TV commercials from the old days, and up to the second entertainment news and you got five hours of entertaining radio every Saturday morning on WMCX-FM, 88.9.
